Cost of wedding planners differ from one planner to the next. In the Austin industry there are a number of wedding planners who work with specific venues and vendors. Similarly, some venues work with specific vendors which the bridal couple must choose from or pay an additional fee for outside vendors.

Newer wedding planners begin at a low fee of around $500.00-$700.00 for a full service because he or she is trying to get her feet in the water. More experienced planners may start at around $1000.00 up to $5000.00 depending on the service that is provided. There are also wedding planners who charge a percentage of the wedding budget, normally 10 to 15%. A full service wedding planner is usually at the beck and call of the bridal couple. Typically, a bridal couple wants to leave the planning to experienced wedding planner; however, the less experienced planner will give it all she's got for recongnition.

Be advised, any service outside of the contract is usually an hourly fee. Time is precious to everyone including wedding planners.
