| Gift Ideas for Groomsmen & Bridesmaids |
|
One of the biggest concerns about planning a wedding or rehearsal is what to get a groomsmen or bridesmaid as a gift. The most typical gift for the member of the wedding party is jewelry, cufflinks, or flasks. How boring is at? Remember that your groomsmen and bridesmaids were chosen for a particular reason. They obviously mean a lot to you, so isn't it best to get them something you know they would really like or something that means something? Why try to be like everyone else when weddings are about, "something to remember?" Why not try an original gift? For instance, a bride I previously assisted bought antique plaques carved with the persons last name to mount in their bedroom or living room wall. Another bride bought several fleur de lis, designed pill cases (most girls need one). Furthermore, a groom I knew bought star wars toys for his groomsmen that they could place in their work cubicle and his bride bought care bears for each of the bridesmaids. Now, I know what you're thinking, "carebears...?" Sounds silly, but we're getting old and still young at heart. She gave each bridesmaid a different kind of carebear (her best friend was "Secret Bear" - the greatest friend a bear can be). Now, I would say this is quite humorous but special. So why not give the wedding party something unique that will make them grin and yet, appreciate at the same time? Try it and you'll get pleasure out of seeing their faces.
