| Guests - Local vs. Destination Weddings |
|
Realistically, there's going to be pressure at some point in planning a wedding. The number of guests is a sore point because the bridal couple wants to include as many close relatives and friends as possible but the venue or the budget just doesn't call for it. So, is it better to have a Destination Wedding? First off, the bridal couple has the option to invite up to as many guests as the venue permits. Although there is a maximum, they must always remember the wedding is about unity. If for some reason you can not invite a specifc person or family member and you feel uncomfortable about it because he or she is pressing you, it is not impolite to send a note with your apology. Most people understand the expense of a wedding. Secondly, the bridal couple has several options in terms of choosing the venue. If venue #1 doesn't accommodate as many guests as desired, venue #2 may be the better option. The bridal couple has the same flexibility with a destination wedding but knowing and seeing a location provides more of a comfort. Lastly, one must also remember what it entails to plan for a destination wedding. Not only will the bridal couple have to accommodate for guests, they will also have to accommodate for vendors and the wedding planner if they choose to have one. It may be difficult to plan a local wedding with a large number of guests; however, guests will be honored to be at your wedding and in the end, you will realize how much you mean to them.
